Objectives

The alumni of Canara group of educational institutions are spread all over the globe. Many of them have splendid accomplishments to their credit in their personal and professional fields bringing laurels to their Alma Mater. Though there are several local alumni associations, a common forum linking the Alumni directly with their Alma Mater and so also with the governing body of the educational institutions under the Canara group, namely, The Canara High School Association was lacking. Therefore, the Canara High School Association thought it fit to bridge this lacuna and promoted the Canara Institutions Alumni Association under its auspices. The Alumni Association was officially inaugurated by Sri. Mizar Sadanada Pai on 17th February 2009 with the following objectives:

• To keep a roster of all Alumni of Canara group of educational institutions and their pertinent data.

• Maintaining the updated and current information of all Alumni of Canara group of educational institutions.

• To encourage, foster and promote close relations between the Canara group of educational institutions and its alumni and among the alumni themselves.

• To promote a sustained sense of belonging to the Alma Mater among the Alumni by being in regular contact with them.

• To promote, in the Alumni Body, an interest in the affairs and well-being of the educational institutions of Canara group.

• To provide and disseminate information regarding their Alma Mater, its graduates, Faculties and students to the Alumni.

• To assist and support the efforts of Canara High School Association in obtaining funds for development.

• To guide and assist Alumni who have recently completed their courses of study at the Canara group of educational institutions to keep them engaged in productive pursuits useful to the society.

• To provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues of the day.

• To organize and coordinate reunion activities of the Alumni

• To let the alumni acknowledge their gratitude to their Alma Mater.

• To collect, publish and distribute such information as may be useful to the alumni and their Alma Mater.

• To provide a forum for the Alumni for interaction with the Management so that the Management can draw upon the knowledge and expertise of Alumni for furthering the cause of Canara High School Association as a leading center of Excellence in the field of education.

• To undertake all such activities as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above aims and objectives

If you wish to make any contribution to your Alma Mater, the following options are available for remittance:

• By Cheque / Demand Draft drawn in favor of Canara High School Association ( in case demand draft payable at Mangalore). The same may be forwarded to, Canara High School Association, A.S.R.P. Road, Dongerkeri, Mangalore 575 003. Please mention your name and registration number.
